“My brother Paul is a 73-year-old who has lived in care for a large part of his life, after spending his first 25 years at home with our parents. He’s predominantly been in state government-run houses.
“He’s lived at his current address for over 15 years, and my parents were very much involved with his care until they passed. I have taken on this role since their passing.
“I’ve been very happy with the support my brother has received from Gavin, Amie and their team over the last seven or so years they have been running his house. They were incredible in ensuring he got the support he required when he broke his hip a number of years ago and always keep me informed of any changes regarding his health or support needs. They also regularly arrange train trips for him, recently to Dungog on an old steam train, and he loved it.
“Every year, they host a Christmas party for the residents and families. It’s a great opportunity to see all the residents, the other families, and the staff who provide his care. I would happily recommend Hunter Ethical Disability Support Services to anyone who needs support for themselves or a loved one living with a disability.”
